Regional Sales Manager

Description

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Be the "face" of the Company in assigned territory
  • Collaborate with local manufacturer representatives to develop and execute sales strategy within the assigned territory:
  • Define sales goals/targets and actively evaluate progress toward those goals
  • Conduct thorough product training & evaluate uptake
  • Manage sales activities and ensure proper market penetration
  • Evaluate and report agent sales figures
  • Manage sales pipeline
  • Conduct sales calls (presentations) within the territory in conjunction with representatives
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues within the organization
  • Represent Pa-Co at marketing events (trade shows, symposiums, etc.)
  • Develop long-term sales forecasts; report and update data on a regular basis
  • Evaluate and report on competition activity within the territory
  • Prepare market and product-specific presentations.
  • Promote the Pa-Co brand by using our social networks, attending events, and meeting with our agency network, specifiers, and end users.
  • Execute special projects as requested by the VP of Sales
  • Update CRM with activities, follow-up and project pipeline.
  • Participate in weekly conference calls with colleagues

 

Requirements:

  • Specification lighting sales experience, either working for a manufacturer or a Rep firm in Outside or Specification Sales. Other relevant customer-facing experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of the lighting agency sales-channel model
  • Technical aptitude - knowledge of current lighting technology, applications, and standards
  • Must combine strong interpersonal skills with drive and tenacity
  • Possess strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Must be results-oriented and analytical
  • Diplomatic; able to assess tough political situations and make recommendations on course of action
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple (sometimes unrelated) tasks
  • Innovative and creative
  • Demonstrates a sense of initiative and autonomy
  • Embraces change
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
